Three ollies with Lloyd McLeggon on a rainy Mancunian day. The police car is parked there and that fence is pretty high, still we knew there was a picture in it.
I can’t make my mind up which one turned out the best. Likely they will only end up on Instagram or something. Lloyd continued to clear the fence until he felt happy with his ollie, just tweaked enough, the law didn’t mind. We got half an hour before being moved on.
Social media is saturated with a constant stream of addictive mind numbing distractions. It seems that everything is disposable today. I like and hate it about the same, so post on. Skateboard media is changing and the way we see it is too.
Shooting Lloyd’s photo was fun, posting the same trick 3 times is fun. Skateboarding is about fun, being creative is fun, never lose the ‘fun’ otherwise it’s just another mind mash spectacle to judge and be judged. Wait, judging is fun too. I guess today’s media is a double edged sword, and I have no idea what’s going to happen next, or even why I’m taking part in it. Lloyd smashed this photo and constantly kills it on a skateboard, I’ve seen his posts.
We are in a technological communication revolution, so do what you want but don’t break the law. We didn’t get arrested, because skateboarding is not a crime.
